How red light therapy works on hair follicles

When hair thins after 40 — whether from hormonal changes, stress, or genetics — the follicle does not die immediately. It goes dormant. It shrinks, produces thinner hairs, and eventually stops producing. But in most cases it remains alive beneath the scalp. A dormant follicle is a follicle that can potentially be reactivated.

The 650–660nm wavelength
